Full Tilt Poker Looking to Break World Record Largest Poker Tournament

Posted under internet poker & poker game & poker information

Full Tilt Poker will attempt to stamp its name on the Guinness Records and to do so; the site has announced that it will try to set a new record for the Largest Online Poker Tournament. Full Tilt’s Record Breaker tournament was unveiled as the finale to FIVE, a week of events and promotions created exclusively to celebrate the site’s 5th anniversary. The tournament will take place on July 19th at 15:05ET, players can buy in for this event for only $5 or 1000 Full Tilt Points and compete for a share of a $250,000 guaranteed with $250,000 added prize pool. Players can also get entries to this event by playing the online satellites available on the site and starting for as little as 30 cents or 50 Full Tilt Points.

Team Full Tilt pros and WSOP bracelet winners Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Phil Ivey have already confirmed they will take part in the event, offering players the chance to sit down at this historic tournament and play with some of the best high stakes and tournament pros in the world.

“By extending the limits of what is possible in online poker tournaments, Full Tilt Poker will allow players to compete for a big payout without the big buy-in,” said Team Full Tilt member Howard Lederer.

Putting together a poker tournament of this magnitude would be nearly impossible for any brick and mortar casino or poker room. The current record for the largest “live” poker tournament was set at the 2006 WSOP Main Event with 8,772 players. To break the current Guinness Record set by PokeStars.com in December, 2008, Full Tilt Poker will need to attract over 35.000 players. If successful, this tournament will establish Full Tilt Poker as World Record holder and cement its reputation as a world leader in online poker industry.

Posted under poker & poker game & poker information

texas hold'em
Certainly the most despised personalities at the Texas Hold’em Poker table the majority of times will forever be the bragger. You have an idea of the player I’m talking of. He’s the guy that sits down at the poker table and makes evident you’re aware that he wants all of your Texas Hold’em chips; leaving the poker table with the exact same position that he arrived with. Even if he loses, he has the idea that he is the top Texas Hold’em player around.

As the bulk of poker players would preferably avoid opponents of this category, there exist others who would argue that showing-off might have its good points. So, the doubt you may have is: Is there , if truth be told such a thing as an accomplished Texas Hold’em boaster or false Texas Hold’em Poker bragger? Show-boating about how accomplished you are in Texas Hold’em is mostly just like admitting: “I am the most skilled Texas Hold’em player in the world, be sure to play the best you can while you’re sitting in a Texas Hold’em Poker tournament against me!” Most certainly that is the most terrible vibe you are going to want to give off playing Texas Hold’em Poker. Moreover, giving away too much about your Texas Hold’em playing method can be unfavorable to your Texas Hold’em game. You undeniably do not want these folks to get a clue about how you bet on particular poker hands.

What is more there are those no limit Texas Hold’em poker players who might use shooting off their mouths as a style of Texas Hold’em trick, or bluff. Bragging when you get a certain Texas Hold’em hand might probably bewilder your opponents and leave them pretty confused about your no limit Texas Hold’em poker playing technique. You will come across people who may consider this tactic somewhat tricky, but it is important to consider that there aren’t any rules against it in no-limit Texas Hold’em. Texas Hold’em Poker is all about making a dollar out of fifteen cents and exploiting it to the max.
