A monster prize pool was announced by Bodog, with the main poker tournament awarding $300,000 guaranteed. The total prizes for the eight day tournament will be higher than $650,000, throughout the weeklong Texas hold em tournament. The Bodog Texas Hold em event will begin Sunday, September 28th and continues until Sunday, October 5th. The popular poker tournament website will also feature six “Bounty” games, where the participants can win $109 in poker credits for each Team Bodog poker player they knock out of the tournament. The best poker players will be playing all competitors in the poker tournament.

Team Bodog star, Justin Bonomo, is indisputably excited about the event. Over the course of his poker playing career, the 23 year old has won more than $1.4 million. He says that if you thought the first poker contest was a good one, you will definitely be astonished with this year’s tournament and the awards involved. He also challenges anyone that dares to eliminate him from the Bounty Tournament to come forward.

The opening Bounty Tournament will be the first poker contest in the championship on Sunday. Any poker competitor has the ability to buy-In right into this, and any of the other poker events with cash. Or another choice is to win their way into the Texas Hold em games through the satellites which are held every night during the poker championship week. Bodog will have six bounty events and seven “Championship Events”, which have higher buy-ins and deeper stacks.

In the tournament will be thirteen games which will lead up to the main poker contest on Sunday, October 5 at 4:00 p.m. E.S.T. This is the grand prize event with a guaranteed $300,000 in prizes, despite the amount of poker players in the Bodog Open. All the competitors who wish to enter the main poker tournament will have to shell out $500 for the buy-in and in turn will accept 10,000 in tournament chips.
