Full Tilt releases “Durrrr Challenge” Update page

Posted under Uncategorized

FullTiltPoker.com has just unveiled an innovative informative section comprising all the facts of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an amazing online heads up poker tournament presenting some of the greatest big money online players taking on the online poker star Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The brand new website section gives poker players and fanatics the chance to monitor this historical internet poker challenge and check out timely challenge details. With this innovative “durrrr Challenge” portal poker players can follow all the action and review each hand played during the challenge, and look at lots of stats, including how many hands were played, session time, amount won, average won during each hand and lots more.

About six months ago, the twenty-three year old internet poker phenomenon handed out a heads-up poker challenge for any player with the cash, time and talent to accept it. Any player entering the poker challenge has to bet $500,000 against Dwan’s $1.5 million. Tom’s challenge specifies that a minimum 50,000 hands need to be played at the same time at four or more poker tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the heads up challenge, the poker player who has more money will earn the pool. Essentially if you enter the challenge and win $1 after the 50,000 poker hands, then you will earn durrrr’s $1.5 Million, but if he wins by a dollar then he will take home your $500,000.

So far, several poker pros have consented to play the Full Tilt durrrr challenge, including WSOP Champ Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, yet, only Patrick Antonius has agreed to the Full Tilt Poker Challenge. Thus far, both players have taken part in a total of 20,647 poker hands out of 50,000, with durrrr up by $726,546 total.

Is Boasting in Poker Games a Good Idea or a Bad Idea?

Posted under poker & poker game & poker information

texas hold'em
Certainly the most despised personalities at the Texas Hold’em Poker table the majority of times will forever be the bragger. You have an idea of the player I’m talking of. He’s the guy that sits down at the poker table and makes evident you’re aware that he wants all of your Texas Hold’em chips; leaving the poker table with the exact same position that he arrived with. Even if he loses, he has the idea that he is the top Texas Hold’em player around.

As the bulk of poker players would preferably avoid opponents of this category, there exist others who would argue that showing-off might have its good points. So, the doubt you may have is: Is there , if truth be told such a thing as an accomplished Texas Hold’em boaster or false Texas Hold’em Poker bragger? Show-boating about how accomplished you are in Texas Hold’em is mostly just like admitting: “I am the most skilled Texas Hold’em player in the world, be sure to play the best you can while you’re sitting in a Texas Hold’em Poker tournament against me!” Most certainly that is the most terrible vibe you are going to want to give off playing Texas Hold’em Poker. Moreover, giving away too much about your Texas Hold’em playing method can be unfavorable to your Texas Hold’em game. You undeniably do not want these folks to get a clue about how you bet on particular poker hands.

What is more there are those no limit Texas Hold’em poker players who might use shooting off their mouths as a style of Texas Hold’em trick, or bluff. Bragging when you get a certain Texas Hold’em hand might probably bewilder your opponents and leave them pretty confused about your no limit Texas Hold’em poker playing technique. You will come across people who may consider this tactic somewhat tricky, but it is important to consider that there aren’t any rules against it in no-limit Texas Hold’em. Texas Hold’em Poker is all about making a dollar out of fifteen cents and exploiting it to the max.

Online Texas Hold’em Poker Special Investigation Show will be featured on CBS’ 60 Minutes

Posted under internet poker & online poker & poker

poker scandal
On Sun., Nov. 30th the CBS network will air their investigation special “How Online Gamblers Unmasked Cheaters”. This documentary was produced after a four-month study into the online Texas Hold’em business and in particular a scam concerning the online Texas Hold’em poker room Absolute Poker.

This Texas Hold’em poker site was examined after several of the Texas Hold’em poker players on the page stated that some person was illegally winning a great amount of cash. Todd Witteles was a crucial witness in this inquiry, according to Witteles; he was losing incredible amounts of poker hands to the very same poker player. Witteles claimed that this man was raising against exceptionally good cards, most players would have thought he was basically giving out his money, but he was actually winning many poker hands.

Witteles was in the right with his suppositions, it was later discovered that someone who knew about the site was able to watch everyone´s poker hole cards. At first look, Absolute Poker claimed that nothing was wrong with the webpage or the Texas Hold’em competitor. After numerous players showed up with claims, the Texas Hold’em poker page examined deeper into the issue and uncovered the scam.

In Jan. of 2008, the KGC came across what the Texas Hold’em competitors and the poker page had assumed all along. The investigation proved that, there was a worker who had hacked the Texas Hold’em room’s protection and was playing poker illegally for more or less six weeks. The examination verified that the Texas Hold’em poker webpage had not profited from the unlawful behavior by any means, and was not involved.

These scams are further evidence that there should be more guidelines regarding online poker pages. The United States government needs to authorize and regulate the internet Texas Hold’em business to guard these honorable customers. These rules would also control the access to these webpages by kids, which tends to be another problem issue nowadays.

Can I Actually Make Money Playing Online Texas Hold’em Poker?

Posted under poker information & poker room & poker strategy

phil hellmuth
Imagine if you were to have a conversation with any typical person off the street about Texas Hold’em, they probably wouldn’t consider Texas Hold’em to be a game of tactics, careful planning, or close examination. More than likely when you mention poker with them, they would almost certainly envision some poker buddies sitting around their living room talking and smoking cigars. They also might believe Texas Hold’em poker to be a game of chance as opposed to talent, more similar to a game of roulette compared to a game of skill, for instance.

So the big question you might be asking yourself is: “Can I actually make money by playing poker?”. It may seem strange but, there are folks who actually earn a living this way. Several people not only make a profit by playing Texas Hold’em poker, but also make a living by playing the game. The most important thing you need to remember about online Texas Hold’em poker is that although you can play in a Las Vegas casino, beside roulette tables and slots; in Texas Hold’em poker you are not competing against the house but against other online Texas Hold’em contestants. So, in all reality, you are betting your money against other players in a contest of expertise as opposed to a game of chance.

You might be saying to yourself: “Doesn’t chance play a part?” Obviously in poker, not a soul knows which hands will be dealt out. That doesn’t automatically signify that you cannot play Texas Hold’em poker with a dependable quantity of pre-game knowledge. One crucial point to not forget in online poker is that numbers never lie. Math plays a very significant part in the game of Texas Hold’em. Not forgetting, that even if you get fairly lucky ever so often the stats always have a way of bringing you back down to earth.

Don’t forget that Vegas casino games comparable to online poker where you are actually playing vs. other real-life competitors CAN be won. The more you play the game of poker, you will realize that it is more of game of skill and not just pure fate.
